Fall Family Fun

This weekend kicked off our Fall activities. We went to the pumpkin patch at Irvine Railroad Park with the aunties and cousins on Saturday. We've never been to this pumpkin patch before, but we really enjoyed the environment and look forward to going back again next year. We usually go to Bates Nut Farm, but Irvine Park was closer (major bonus) and had all the same fun festivities in a smaller space which is nice with small kiddos.

As always, Oliver had a blast playing with Makena and Andrew. They ran through the corn maze, attacked the monsters in the spooky house, gathered pumpkins, and took a train ride around the park. Henry was not as mobile, but I did put him in lots of odd spots in my attempt to get the cutest pictures.

Saturday night we went to a wedding complete at the Japanese Tea Garden in Los Angeles. The cupcake stand was torture for Oliver and he waited as long as he could before digging in to one before I could catch him. Grandma and Grandpa Matsui were there and Oliver and Henry got lots of love from them. Grandpa Matsui walked all over the garden with Oliver, helping him toss leaves into the streams and spy on the ants.

Apple picking was the main attraction on Sunday. I've decided that picking my own fruit is over-rated and I'm perfectly happy with my organic apples from Albertsons. But we had a nice time with the Johnson family gathering our fruit and over-indulging in apple pastries of all sorts.
